California Privacy Notice:Privacy rights and choices for California residents
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). It also serves as our notice at collection. Terms have the meanings given in the CCPA.

The short version
- This notice applies to California residents and is our notice at collection.
- We sell request information to lenders and partners; enabled advertising tools may also involve sharing.
- You can ask to know, delete or correct your information, and opt out of sale and sharing.
- A detected Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out: a request submitted from that browser goes only to lenders and lending networks to process it, not to marketing partners. Earlier records need separate attention.

Purposes
2. Why we collect it
We use personal information to process your loan request and match you with lenders and partners, verify your identity and prevent fraud, communicate with you, market financial products, analyze and improve the Site, and comply with law, as described in our Privacy Policy. Sensitive information is supplied as part of the loan request and may be used for identity verification and lending decisions. Its use and disclosure remain subject to applicable law and the permissions presented with the request.
Recipients
3. Who receives it
Sold to
Lenders, lending networks and marketing partners that offer financial products, who pay us for loan requests.
Shared with
Where advertising tools are enabled, advertising partners may receive usage data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Analytics is not automatically the same as advertising sharing.
Disclosed for business purposes to
Service providers for hosting, storage, analytics, communications, identity verification and fraud prevention, and government authorities where required by law.
We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Retention
4. How long we keep it
We keep each category of personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, generally for the duration of our relationship with you plus the period needed to meet legal, regulatory, tax and fraud-prevention requirements and to resolve disputes. Retention depends on the type of record and any applicable legal requirement. You may request deletion, subject to exceptions, and ask about retention of your records. A browser draft expiring does not delete a previously submitted request.
Your rights
Applies to California residents5. Your California privacy rights
Right to know and access
The categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, its sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to.
Right to delete
Personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
Right to correct
Inaccurate personal information.
Right to opt out of sale and sharing
Use our Do Not Sell or Share page. A detected Global Privacy Control signal applies the browser-level choice described there. Contact us about information already held or shared.
Right to limit
Where applicable, you may limit uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted by law. Tell us which use or disclosure your request concerns.
Right to non-discrimination
You have the right not to be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. A request-matching service necessarily needs certain information to connect you with a partner; this does not waive your rights.
Requests
6. How to submit a request
Email privacy@5minutesloan.com with the subject "California Privacy Request" and tell us which right you want to use. Include only the contact details reasonably needed to identify the relevant records. Do not email Social Security numbers, bank account details or identity documents.
Verification
Access, correction and deletion requests may require identity verification. Applicable California rules generally require acknowledgment within 10 business days and a response within 45 calendar days, with a permitted extension and notice where needed. Opting out of sale or sharing does not require a verified identity or an account; different response rules apply to that request.
Authorized agents
An agent may submit a request for you with your permission, subject to applicable proof-of-authority rules. Access, correction or deletion may require you to verify your identity directly. A sale or sharing opt-out does not require identity verification.
Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83
7. Shine the Light
California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets California residents request, once a year and free of charge, information about the personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. Email privacy@5minutesloan.com with the subject "Shine the Light".
Exemptions
8. Information covered by other laws
Specific exemptions may apply to certain information or activities governed by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or the Fair Credit Reporting Act. These are not blanket exemptions for every activity on a loan-related website. Lenders may also provide their own notices. Read the California Attorney General's CCPA guidance for information about rights and exemptions.
